Schleswig-Holsteins Wirtschaft in Zeiten des Aufschwungs - eine Bestandsaufnahme

Abstract

Schleswig-Holstein konnte wie alle Bundesländer vom Aufschwung der letzten Jahre profitieren. Im Vergleich mit der Entwicklung in Deutschland insgesamt und in den anderen Bundesländern werden die wirtschaftlichen Erfolge Schleswig-Holsteins relativiert: Ein Aufholprozess hat in den 2000er Jahren nicht stattgefunden. Durch den schleichenden Bedeutungsverlust des Verarbeitenden Gewerbes gingen besser bezahlte Jobs verloren, während neu entstandene Dienstleistungsjobs häufig schlechter entlohnt sind und vielfach nur eine Teilzeitbeschäftigung ermöglichen. Aufgrund der schmalen industriellen Basis Schleswig-Holsteins konnte das Land zudem weniger stark von der guten Exportkonjunktur der letzten Jahre profitieren. Eine Auswertung von Bundesländer-Rankings zeigt darüber hinaus, dass in der schleswig-holsteinischen Wirtschaft bei Innovationskraft und Zukunftsorientierung Breite und Tiefe fehlen.
