Globalisierung von Forschung und Entwicklung in deutschen Unternehmen im internationalen Vergleich

Abstract

In diesem Beitrag wird die Internationalisierung des deutschen Forschungsstandorts nach außen und innen über FuE-Aktivitäten einheimischer und ausländischer multinationaler Unternehmen (MNU) mit der Internationalisierung in anderen Ländern verglichen. Ein Schwerpunkt ist die Entwicklung der FuE-Aktivitäten forschungsstarker multinationaler Unternehmen im Ausland, sowohl an den traditionellen als auch an den neuen Zielstandorten etwa in Asien sowie Mittel- und Osteuropa. Mit ihrem Fokus auf die Verteilung der FuE von MNU auf verschiedene Länder (Eigentümersicht) ergänzt diese Studie die traditionelle Standortsichtweise, bei der die FuE der Unternehmen innerhalb der Länder unabhängig von ihren Eigentümern betrachtet werden (Schasse et al. 2011).
