Una estimaci�n macroecon�mica de los determinantes salariales en Espa�a (1980-2000)

Abstract

Este trabajo aporta nueva evidencia emp�rica sobre la relaci�n a corto y largo plazo entre los salarios y sus determinantes para la econom�a espa�ola durante el periodo 1980-2000, as� como sobre la velocidad de ajuste al equilibrio de largo plazo, mediante un modelo de correcci�n del error. Se pretende analizar en qu� medida la evoluci�n de los salarios se ve influida por la tasa de desempleo y los precios, junto a variables de negociaci�n como la productividad, los impuestos directos que gravan las rentas salariales y las cotizaciones sociales. Seg�n el contraste realizado, la variable que explica la evoluci�n salarial a largo plazo son los precios, mostrando los salarios un comportamiento ligeramente inflacionista. Por lo que respecta a la relaci�n de corto plazo, los salarios vienen explicados por sus valores retardados, poniendo de manifiesto la presencia de una importante inercia nominal. Adem�s, existe un efecto nulo del desempleo y de las variables de negociaci�n.
