Abstract

This text celebrates the publication of the hundredth Working Paper (WP) by the Economics course at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG), a series of academic articles started in April 2009. The initiative was pioneering in the UFG context, aiming for the rapid dissemination of research carried out by its faculty members. Over the years, the WPs have become an essential mechanism for academic communication, not only within the university but also in a broader context through indexing in RePEc and obtaining an ISSN. This milestone reflects the development and maturity of the Economics course, as well as the evolution of FACE itself (Faculty of Administration, Accounting, and Economics), highlighting the significant role of WPs in fostering research and academic formation. The history of the TDs runs parallel to the growth of the course and the creation of graduate programs, demonstrating the importance of these publications in the academic structure of UFG.
