Abstract

Confrontés depuis quinze à une grave crise de l'emploi qui s'est traduite par une augmentation sans précédent du chômage, les gouvernements successifs ne sont pas restés inactifs. D'importantes mesures ont été mises en oeuvre, tant pour stimuler l'emploi, améliorer la qualification des chômeurs que pour limiter l'augmentation de la population active. L'évaluation des effets des politiques d'emploi restait cependant difficile car on ne disposait, avec les Comptes de l'emploi, que d'une chronique détaillée des données financières. Le travail dont les résultats sont présentés ici, comble une grande partie de cette lacune puisqu'il a permis de reconstituer les séries statistiques relatives aux bénéficiaires à un instant donné des principales mesures mises en oeuvre depuis quinze ans.
