Abstract

The aim of the work is the development and calibration of spatial gravity model that describes the regions of the Russian foreign trade Federation through the various sections of the border. To achieve said purpose in the following tasks: A review of theoretical and empirical work on the construction and the practical application of the gravity model of trade; a modification of the theoretical model, which allows to take into account spatial effects associated with the presence of checkpoints and a large area of ??the Russian hinterland; the calibration of the proposed model to the data of Russian foreign trade TCF. The intial data for the work used data from official Statistics Rosstat and Russian Federal Customs Service, scientific, analytical and statistical publications Russian and foreign sources, including international organizations.
