Abstract

Ο Joseph Schumpeter εισήγαγε στη σύγχρονη οικονομία και την πολιτική επιστήμη την έννοια της δημιουργικής καταστροφής, δηλαδή πως η καταστροφή παλαιών οικονομικών δομών ή επιχειρήσεων απελευθερώνει το πεδίο, δυνάμεις και πόρους, ώστε να δημιουργηθούν νέες οικονομικές δομές και να αναδειχθούν νέες επιχειρήσεις. Σε ένα γενικότερο ακόμα επίπεδο, η κατάρρευση ή καταστροφή πολιτικών συστημάτων, δημιουργεί τις προϋποθέσεις για τη δημιουργία νέων.
