Social Security Administration Payments to State Vocational Rehabilitation Agencies for Beneficiaries Who Work: Evidence from Linked Administrative Data

Abstract

This paper examines the extent to which Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) beneficiaries who receive vocational rehabilitation (VR) services from a State Vocational Rehabilitation Agency (SVRA) go on to earn at a level high enough to forgo cash disability benefits.
