Uso De Um Sig Na Análise Da Distribuição Da Infra- Estrutura Na Cidade De Maceió, Alagoas

Abstract

A proposta desse artigo é apresentar os resultados da pesquisa realizada a partir de uma análise espacial da distribuição da infra-estrutura urbana na cidade de Maceió, estado de Alagoas, Brasil. A pesquisa consistiu em uma análise qualitativa e quantitativa do saneamento básico: fornecimento de água, coleta de lixo e esgotamento sanitário; e suas correlações com as variáveis de renda da população e a densidade demográfica. A pesquisa apresenta, a partir de uma análise multicritério, um mapeamento indicativo de áreas prioritárias para investimentos públicos em infra-estrutura, de forma a atender os princípios da equidade social, com a distribuição igualitária e democrática dos serviços, assim servindo como instrumento ao planejamento urbano. Para esta análise utilizaram-se técnicas de geoprocessamento com o tratamento estatístico de dados, associados através de um Sistema de Informações Geográficas em nível de setor censitário.
