企業の教育訓練投資と生産性

Abstract

本稿は、日本企業のデータを使用し、企業の教育訓練投資と生産性の関係を定量的に分析する。本稿の特長は、教育訓練ストックのパネルデータを構築して、製造業とサービス産業を区別して分析するとともに、教育訓練と生産性及び賃金との間の量的な関係を比較する点にある。分析結果によれば、第一に、教育訓練は、企業の生産性に対して正の寄与をしている。第二に、生産性の教育訓練ストックに対する弾性値は、製造業に比べてサービス産業の方が顕著に高い。第三に、教育訓練投資の収益は、企業と労働者に対して要素所得シェアに見合った割合で帰属している。以上の結果は、企業の教育訓練投資を促進する政策が、特にサービス分野の企業の生産性や賃金を高める上で潜在的に有効な可能性を示唆している。
