Abstract

The United Kingdom and France have powerful arms industries, well integrated into their national industrial landscape ; the State, as the main monopsonist, exercises a determining influence, notably in the choice of weapons and exports that are politically or economically necessary. The products offered are included in weapons systems and research and development is particularly present. The establishment of a military-industrial complex is still being debated. France has a superior nuclear industry, but the structure of the arms industries in both countries is comparable, given their privileged (or not) relations with the United States. Industries d'armement, secteur nucléaire, investissements, Complexe militaro-industriel. Armament industries, nuclear sector, investments, military-industrial complex.
