Abstract

L'objet de cet article est d'expliquer l'émergence et le développement du contrôle de gestion dans l'Assurance maladie par une analyse en termes de fit, c'est-à-dire par la recherche de l'équilibre entre besoin et capacité de traitement de l'information. Le terrain d'enquête concerne les Caisses Primaires d'Assurance Maladie (CPAM), organisations privées ayant une mission de service public. Il est montré, en utilisant le modèle de Tushman et Nadler complété par Daft et Lengel, qu'il existe un écart entre besoin et capacité de traitement de l'information dans les caisses. Après avoir explicité les origines de cet écart, l'auteur montre que le développement du contrôle de gestion peut permettre d'atteindre l'équilibre.
