Une comparaison de la fragmentation internationale des chaînes d’approvisionnement automobiles allemande et française

Abstract

Cet article propose une comparaison des chaînes d’approvisionnement des industries automobiles allemande et française. En nous appuyant sur les travaux en termes de Global Value Chains, nous proposons une méthode pour étudier la fragmentation internationale des chaînes d’approvisionnement en distinguant différentes classes d’éléments pour automobile (composants, méso-composants, macro-composants). Cette typologie basée sur une analyse de la décomposition modulaire des automobiles est mise en œuvre dans le cas de l’Allemagne et de la France à partir de données du commerce international issues d’Eurostat sur la période 2000/2010 pour ce qui concerne 44 éléments pour automobile. Les résultats montrent que l’Allemagne et la France ont structuré de manière différente leurs réseaux d’approvisionnement choisissant de se renforcer ou de délaisser certains segments de production et choisissant des lieux d’approvisionnement différenciés (typiquement Europe de l’Est pour l’Allemagne et Europe de l’Ouest pour la France) selon les éléments considérés. En conclusion, nous proposons quelques pistes afin d’approfondir ce travail encore exploratoire.
