Une comparaison des formations professionnelles sous contrat d'apprentissage et sous statut scolaire (lycee professionnelle): biais de selection et insertion sur le marche du travail

Abstract

Cet article commence par une description du systeme d'apprentissage et du lycee professionnel, indispensable a une bonne comprehension du systeme institutionnel de formation professionnelle des jeunes en France (section II). Suit la presentation des donnees dy CEREQ utilisees pour l'evaluation des deux voies de formation professionnelle. Elle permet de mieux caracteriser les participants aux deux types de formation (section III). La pertinence des criteres d'evaluation choisis est discutee apres une revue des indicateurs d'insertion les plus couramment utilises dans la literature (section IV). La demarche econometrique d'estimation est ensuite exposee (section V). La possibilite d'un biais de selection dans la mesure de l'impact du mode de formation professionnelle nous conduit a interroger les determinants du choix entre l'apprentissage et le lycee professionnel. Les resultats obtenus nous permettent de juger de l'efficacite des deux modes de formation (section VI).
