Author

Listed:
  • Shelley, S.

Abstract

The paper describe the experience of the author as an researcher in the field of management in higher education over a period of two years: how original research proposals were founded, tested and found to provide only a limited perspective on the subject; and how subsequent work has endeavoured to construct a new framework for investigation. The paper concludes with the initiation of an outline research agenda for the future, the aim of which is to examine whether it is possible to establish a new heuristic device to aid understanding of the higher education sector.
