Convergence des Productivités Européennes Transition, Rupture et Racine Unitaire

Abstract

Ce papier propose de lever I'incompatibilité des tests de convergence reposant sur les propriétés des séries temporelles et le phénomène de rattrapage des économies. En utilisant une version multivariée de la statistique de KPPS et en autorisant l'existence d 'une rupture commune, il apparait que, pour dix économies européennes, La dynamique des productivités peut se découper en deux phases. On assiste à une premiöre période (1950-1979) de rattrapage des économies ; la suite de cette phase de transition, elles évoluent le long d'un sentier de croissance commun. On montre que, pour ce "découpage" de la dynamique, les écarts de productivités sont stationnaires au sens stochastique, sur l'ensemble de l'échantillon (1950-1990).
