Panel Ceris Su Dati Di Impresa: Aspetti Metodologici E Istruzioni Per L’Uso

Abstract

Il presente scritto ha un duplice scopo: presentare le nuove basedati di impresa costruite presso il CERIS e predisporre un manuale d'uso per future ricerche. L'obiettivo ambizioso che ha spinto l'Istituto a investire ancora una volta risorse nell'arduo (e poco remunerativo) compito di sostituirsi a organismi predisposti ufficialmente alla produzione di dati è la convinzione che la mancanza di una base dati user-friendly che integri informazioni quantitative a livello di impresa tratte dai bilanci con dati di natura settoriale e con informazioni sulla struttura proprietaria abbia costituito in passato, e costituisca ancora oggi, un serio limite allo sviluppo in Italia della ricerca empirica in diversi campi delle scienze economiche tra cui la macroeconomia, l’economia industriale e dell’impresa e la finanza aziendale. Il grado di sfruttamento delle basedati negli anni futuri testimonierà se e in quale misura l’obiettivo è stato raggiunto. In estrema sintesi, le basedati costruite sono il frutto di un paziente lavoro di integrazione di dati d'impresa di fonte Mediobanca con dati di settore di fonte ISTAT e dati sul controllo di fonte diversa. Il risultato finale è costituito da 3 basedati che si differenziano per ampiezza del campione e delle variabili disponibili.
