El metro de Bogotá : reflexiones para el próximo gobierno

Abstract

Pocos proyectos de gran envergadura gozan en Bogotá de tanta popularidad como el de construir un metro: es excepcional encontrar un ciudadano común que cuestione su importancia o prioridad. En realidad, durante los últimos 20 anos la congestión en la ciudad ha aumentado inmensamente, el desorden del tráfico y sus interrupciones se han multiplicado muchas veces, y si algo es evidente es la impotencia de la autoridad y del gobierno para enfrentar y aliviar esta situación. Por ello, no es de extranar que se haya difundido entre la ciudadanía el convencimiento de que la solución la única, además es el metro. Y si ello es así, no hay objeción financiera, económica o de otra índole que sea válida. Pero, en verdad, el metro es la única solución Más al fin, ¿el metro es solución? Las próximas páginas intentan arrojar alguna luz sobre esta pregunta, dentro del contexto del problema del transporte en Bogotá.
