¿Exportan las pymes en Barranquilla? análisis institucional del Programa Expopyme

Abstract

Basado en el planteamiento de la Economía Institucional Original, este trabajo estudia los instintos del trabajo eficaz, los instintos pecuniarios y lo ceremoniático en las empresas que pertenecieron al Programa Expopyme en Barranquilla entre 2000 y 2007. Con el objetivo de identificar si el Programa Expopyme es exitoso en la promoción de las exportaciones, se entrevistaron 31 empresarios en la ciudad de Barranquilla de una muestra de 210 empresas que pertenecieron al programa. De acuerdo a los resultados se encontró que el espíritu de trabajo eficaz prevalece sobre el pecuniario o lo ceremoniático entre las empresas que asistieron al Programa Expopyme en Barranquilla. En conclusión,se justifica la existencia del Programa Expopyme como programa de fomento a las exportaciones, dado que contribuye al desarrollo y al mejoramiento de las pymes
