Abstract

This article contributes to the discussion on the development pattern in Colombia, configured from the interaction between the distributive conflict and the accumulation regime. Under this perspective, an exercise of estimation of the modes of use of the country's economic surplus in the period 1990-2014 is carried out in order to give an explanation to such interaction. The results show that, in this period, Colombia presents a mode of insertion into the foreign market based on productive specialization, the hegemony of finance and, in a repressive way, the regulation of social conflict.
