Capital humano y crecimiento económico: herramientas de política en un entorno de desigualdad y expectativa de vida endógena

Abstract

En este documento se plantea un modelo de generaciones traslapadas con agentes heterogéneos y expectativa de vida endógena en el que se analiza la efectividad de la política fiscal para mejorar las condiciones macroeconómicas de un país. Los resultados del modelo evidencian que mediante el rediseño de la estructura fiscal, es posible que una economía pase de una situación con bajo crecimiento, baja expectativa de vida y alta desigualdad, a un equilibrio con mejores indicadores macroeconómicos. De igual forma, se observa la existencia de políticas indeficientes, en el sentido que mediante un cambio en la estructura impositiva y/o distributiva es posible alcanzar un equilibrio con menor desigualdad y mayor crecimiento.
