Abstract

Eine aktuelle Studie zeigt, was geschieht, wenn Unternehmen Dokumentationspflichten reduzieren. Eine große deutsche Bäckereikette hat in zufällig ausgewählten Filialen zwei Checklisten abgeschafft, die viele Beschäftigte als zeitaufwendig und wenig hilfreich empfunden haben. Das Ergebnis: mehr Umsatz, zufriedenere Mitarbeitende und weniger Fluktuation. Die Bäckereikette steht exemplarisch für den deutschen Mittelstand: traditionsbewusst, qualitätsorientiert, dezentral organisiert – und eingebunden in ein ausgeklügeltes, über Jahre gewachsenes Kontrollsystem. Von der evidenzbasierten Analyse des Bürokratieabbaus können nicht nur andere Unternehmen, sondern auch der Staat lernen.
