Abstract

So far, we have explained why, in our view, the world needs IA, and we have explored the components of IA and their promising future. IA is about supporting and augmenting the work currently done by people. Given its recent advances and those expected in the future, is there a risk that employees are not capable of working with IA? As IA performs work on behalf of knowledge workers, is there a risk of making them redundant? Would this be an opportunity to redefine work? What could be the impact on society? What are the imperatives to ensure that our world takes all the positive from IA while mitigating its downsides?…
