Abstract

Interorganizational learning (IOL) is a subject of growing interest in academia, since acquiring knowledge outside the boundaries of an organization improves its performance. This chapter presents IOL as a main research construct and presents some factors that influence it. As research method, a case study was used in a learning network, comprising organizations from different sectors. Among the presented results, the influence of knowledge governance (KGov) as a critical success factor for IOL stands out. The application of KGov to the factors that influence IOL helps its effectiveness for organizations seeking to learn from each other.
