Abstract

This study explores the increasing role of technological innovation in enhancing cultural vibrancy across European cities. By analyzing data from the latest Cultural and Creative Cities Monitor, the research investigates how advancements in information and communication technology (ICT) and other innovations contribute to the dynamism of cultural venues, facilities, and participation. The study focuses on two dimensions: cultural venues and facilities, and cultural participation and attractiveness. The paper aims to uncover patterns and correlations between technological innovation indicators and measures of cultural vibrancy. Our findings provide insights into how cities can use technological advancements to increase their cultural and creative sectors, for a more vibrant and attractive urban environment for residents and tourists alike. This research contributes to the current discussion on the intersection of technology, culture, and urban development, designing policy recommendations for supporting cultural vibrancy through innovation.
