Abstract

The present study aims to explore the impacts of digital transformation on the tourism industry, focusing on consumer attitudes and behaviors as well as business adaptations. Through a combination of primary and secondary research, this paper investigates how technological advancements and information systems are reshaping the tourism landscape. The secondary research involves a comprehensive literature review that highlights the evolution of tourism and the implementation of various information systems within the industry. The primary research analyzes data from two surveys: one targeting hotel businesses and the other focusing on travelers. These surveys assess the extent to which electronic media and information systems are utilized by these two groups. Key findings indicate that digital technologies are significantly influencing both consumer decision-making processes and the operational strategies of tourism businesses. The paper concludes with insights into how the integration of digital tools can enhance customer satisfaction and business efficiency in the global tourism ecosystem.
