Abstract

Deutschland steht vor großen strukturellen Herausforderungen. Die Corona-Pandemie dominiert seit dem Frühjahr 2020 das politische wie wirtschaftliche Handeln. Darüber hinaus gibt es Entwicklungen, die Wirtschaft, Gesellschaft und Staat schon seit einiger Zeit beeinflussen und dies mittel- bis langfristig weiter tun werden: Digitalisierung, Dekarbonisierung, Demografie und De-Globalisierung. Diese IW-Studie beschäftigt sich mit diesen vier disruptiv wirkenden Trends. Sie geht auf die konkreten Problemlagen ein, arbeitet ihre Schnittstellen heraus und leitet daraus Handlungsempfehlungen für die Politik ab. Dabei stützt sie sich auch auf eine Unternehmensbefragung im Rahmen des IW-Zukunftspanels.
