Abstract

Auch 2014 gewann die Konjunktur in Österreich nicht an Schwung, vielmehr zeigten sich gegen Jahresende rezessive Tendenzen. Während die steigende Arbeitslosigkeit alle Bundesländer betraf, war die Dynamik in den Bereichen Produktion, Beschäftigung und Tourismusnachfrage regional sehr heterogen. Im Westen entwickelten sich Industrieproduktion und Arbeitsmarkt günstiger; die Zahl der Nächtigungen stieg dagegen in der Sommersaison 2014 in den östlichen Bundesländern, vor allem in Wien überdurchschnittlich.
