Pobreza energética y derechos humanos en América Latina y el Caribe Insular

Abstract

El objetivo del libro Pobreza energética y derechos humanos en América Latina y el Caribe insular es examinar en qué medida la pobreza energética se relaciona con la falta de efectividad de los derechos humanos en América Latina y el Caribe insular. Para este propósito se estimó pertinente indagar si es oportuno hablar de pobreza energética en esta región para luego examinar cuál sería su impacto frente al goce de los derechos humanos. Al final se presenta una reflexión sobre la posible medición de ese tipo de pobreza en la región justamente a partir de la utilización de algunos índices y variables próximos a estos derechos.
