Körper und Widerstand: Protestcamps in autoritären Regimen

Abstract

Gekommen, um zu bleiben: Protestcamps sind anders als Demonstrationen auf eine gewisse Dauer angelegt – das zeigt schon ihre äußere Form, nämlich die kontinuierliche, sichtbare Besetzung eines Ortes. Die Bilder der Protestcamps im Gezi-Park in Istanbul, auf dem Maidan in Kiew, im Mong-Kok-Viertel in Hongkong und auf dem Tahrir-Platz in Kairo sind in den Erinnerungen vieler Menschen bis heute präsent. Auf der großen Landkarte politischer Proteste sind diese Camps zu wichtigen physischen Infrastrukturen geworden, entscheidend für die Mobilisierung von Massen im Protest gegen autoritäre Regime. Wenig ist aber darüber bekannt, wie dort den grundlegenden körperlichen Bedürfnissen Rechnung getragen wird.
