Die neue Strukturstatistik im Handels- und Dienstleistungsbereich

Abstract

Die Umsetzung der EBS-Verordnung in den Unternehmensstrukturstatistiken ab dem Berichtsjahr 2021 ermöglicht durch die Erfassung bislang noch fehlender Dienstleistungsbereiche erstmals einen umfassenden Überblick über die Unternehmensstrukturen in Deutschland. Dies führt allerdings zu einer deutlichen Ausweitung der Zahl der Unternehmen in der Grundgesamtheit. Um dennoch eine höhere Belastung für die Wirtschaft zu verhindern, hat die amtliche Statistik ihr Vorgehen umfassend überarbeitet: Sie hat die bislang drei Erhebungen in den Bereichen des Handels und der Dienstleistungen harmonisiert, ein neues Stichprobenkonzept entwickelt, den Merkmalskatalog reduziert und Entlastungsregelungen ausgeweitet. Bei den Finanzdienstleistungen nutzt die amtliche Statistik darüber hinaus vermehrt Verwaltungsdaten.
