Digitalisierung in Österreich: Fortschritt, digitale Skills und Infrastrukturausstattung in Zeiten von COVID-19

Abstract

Wie das vorliegende Monitoring ausgewählter Indikatoren zum digitalen Wandel in verschiedenen Teilbereichen der Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft zeigt, nimmt Österreich in Bezug auf den Fortschritt im digitalen Wandel insgesamt in Europa eine mittlere Position ein. In der aktuellen COVID-19-Krise wurde die wachsende Bedeutung des digitalen Wandels sehr deutlich. Da die Digitalisierung mittlerweile alle Lebensbereiche betrifft, sind grundlegende digitale Skills und die Nutzung digitaler Infrastruktur nicht mehr nur für Unternehmen und Arbeitskräfte relevant, sondern ebenso sehr für Schülerinnen und Schüler und die übrige Bevölkerung.
