Boom in Asien, schleppende Erholung in der EU und in Österreich

Abstract

Die Konjunktur hat sich nach dem tiefen Einbruch von Mitte 2008 bis Mitte 2009 zwar stabilisiert, doch die Erholung hat noch nicht Tritt gefasst. Im I. Quartal 2010 stagnierte die österreichische Wirtschaft sowohl gegenüber dem IV. Quartal 2009 (–0,1%) als auch gegenüber dem Vorjahr (+0,2%). Impulse kamen vom Export nach Deutschland und damit indirekt von der kräftigen Expansion der Wirtschaft in Asien und des Welthandels. Die heimische Konsumnachfrage wächst stetig, allerdings mäßig (+¼% gegenüber dem Vorquartal). Die Investitionen in Ausrüstungen und Bauten sind seit acht Quartalen rückläufig, eine selbsttragende Investitionskonjunktur ist bislang nicht in Gang gekommen. Die Lage auf dem Arbeitsmarkt verbessert sich kontinuierlich. Wegen der Rohstoffverteuerung steigen die Preise auf Verbraucherebene.
