Verschärfung der Arbeitsmarktprobleme von Randgruppen in Grenzregionen im Gefolge der Ostöffnung. Das Beispiel der Roma in Oberwart

Abstract

Die Beschleunigung des Wirtschaftswachstums im Burgenland im Gefolge der Ostöffnung kommt nicht allen Regionen und Gruppen von Arbeitskräften zugute. Im Mittel- und im Südburgenland sind wegen der starken Ausrichtung auf eine industriell-gewerbliche Produktion die negativen Effekte von Betriebsabsiedelung und Produktionsverlagerung am deutlichsten. Neben der Bildungs- und Strukturpolitik muss deshalb auch die Beschäftigungs- und Integrationspolitik neue Wege suchen, um die wirtschaftliche und soziale Belebung der Region zu fördern.
