Die Entwicklung der betrieblichen Altersvorsorge in Österreich

Abstract

Im Jahr 2000 waren 430.000 Personen als Anwartschaftsberechtigte in ein betriebliches Altersvorsorgesystem einbezogen. Das entsprach etwa einem Sechstel der unselbständig Beschäftigten und lag damit deutlich unter dem Durchschnitt der EU. Die größte Verbreitung haben Betriebspensionen unter den Großbetrieben, dort sind auch durchwegs alle Mitarbeiter in das System einbezogen. In den kleinen und mittleren Betrieben sind betriebliche Altersvorsorgesysteme seltener. Betriebspensionen sind auch nach Wirtschaftsbereichen ungleich verteilt. Der höchste Versorgungsgrad besteht in der Energie- und Wasserversorgung sowie in der Finanzwirtschaft. Im Gaststätten- und Beherbergungswesen und im Bildungsbereich bieten besonders wenige Betriebe ihren Mitarbeitern diese freiwillige Sozialleistung an.
