Évaluation Du Coût Social Du Bruit Des Transports : Application De L'Évaluation Contingente Au Bruit Des Avions A Orly

Abstract

Malgré la demande sociale pour une amélioration de la qualité sonore des espaces de vie, les pouvoirs publics restent en attente d'informations fiables sur le coût social du bruit des transports. Cette étude présente les principaux résultats d'une application de la méthode d'évaluation contingente au bruit des avions à Orly. Les savoirs mobilisés – psychologie et acoustique – ont notamment motivé l'étude de l'influence de la gêne sonore sur le consentement à payer, indice de mesure du coût social. Il ressort selon l'analyse factorielle et les traitements économétriques : (i) que la gêne et, plus globalement, l'ensemble des variables expressives de la sensibilité individuelle au bruit des avions discriminent les consentements à payer pour une amélioration de l'environ- nement sonore, (ii) que le coût social du bruit des avions se monte à un peu plus de 15 millions de francs/an pour six communes du Val-de-Marne fortement exposées
