Abstract

Artificial intelligence is playing an increasingly important role in human resource management, with recruitment being the area where its benefits are most visible. The purpose of this article is to examine how Slovak enterprises adopt AI technologies in their recruitment processes. The analysis is based on a survey of 434 responses, covering companies of different sizes, industries, and regional presence. The findings show that a higher level of knowledge and perceived benefits significantly increase the likelihood of AI implementation, while reported barriers did not prove to be statistically significant. AI adoption therefore appears as a complex process that cannot be explained only by technological advantages but is also shaped by organizational capacities, the level of digital literacy, and the impact of the regulatory environment. To address this complexity, the combination of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), which emphasizes perceived benefits and ease of use, and the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework, which adds a perspective on organizational and environmental factors, proves to be particularly appropriate.
