Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Dekarbonisierung des Verkehrssektors wird eine der größten Herausforderungen in der Zukunft sein. Anhand aktueller Beispiele für Innovationen im Verkehrsbereich wird ihr Potenzial zur Reduzierung der Treibhausgasemissionen sowie die damit verbundenen Kosten gezeigt. Ökonomen des Deutschen Zentrums für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR) haben aktuelle Forschungsergebnisse aus verschiedenen DLR-Instituten zusammengetragen. Dabei wird deutlich, dass eine breite Palette an technologischen bzw. organisatorischen Innovationen zur Reduktion von klimarelevanten Emissionen mit unterschiedlicher Marktreife verfügbar ist. Eine technologische Effizienzsteigerung allein reicht jedoch nicht aus, um die ambitionierten Klimaziele zu erreichen. Hier ist die Politik mit weiteren Maßnahmen gefordert.
