Abstract

The article givses a chronological review of the history of the Faculty of Economics. It follows the different stages in its development towards an independent faculty: the Law Faculty, the opening of the Public Economics Sciences, its closure and reopening under the present name. Its eventful history is an expression of the strong desire for modernization of university education and reflects the changes in the social and economic life during the 120 years.
