Abstract

This evaluation focuses on the energy-saving effects of the Minnesota Northern States Power (NSP) Utility Residential Energy Conservation Programs, one and two years after participation. The study involved collection of a large data base of monthly natural gas consumption records for program participants and nonparticipants from October 1980 through May 1984. The NSP home energy audit yielded a small but statistically significant net energy saving, which increased slightly between the first and second postaudit years.
