Abstract

The paper considers the essential characteristics of farms functioning. Comparative analysis of approaches to definition of peasant (farm) household is carried out. Distinctive features of farm form of management are determined. Study of the dynamics of sown area in Russia, head of livestock in Russia, the number of agricultural commodity producers and sown area of agricultural crops K (F)X in Stavropol Territory was conducted. The main trends in the development of peasant (farm) households in Russia are identified and structured.
