Abstract

Autarky is a concept of Greek classical thought, misplaced in history, that has demerits its original sense, regardless of any possible synergy that refer to the selfsought by him. This article explores various theoretical reflections to rethink stages in the evolution of the autarky in rural areas as an option conducive to regional development as seen from the framework of migration processes, the new rurality, urban sprawl, as well as the ruralization and social networking.
