Diferenciais de salários na região Nordeste: uma análise segundo condição de migração e nível educacional

Abstract

Este artigo analisa os diferenciais de rendimentos entre as condições de migração por nível educacional na região Nordeste. A partir dos dados da PNAD de 2014, foi empregado o método proposto por Lee (1983) nas equações salariais para corrigir o potencial problema de viés de seleção na amostra. Para avaliar os diferenciais salariais entre migrantes e não migrantes e entre as categorias de migrantes, utilizou-se a decomposição proposta por Oaxaca (1973) e Blinder (1973). Os achados sugerem que, para cada faixa de ensino concluída, gera-se um incremento salarial, existindo um maior retorno em educação alcançado principalmente pelos remigrados. E os resultados das decomposições salariais indicam que os migrantes apresentam maiores rendimentos quando comparados aos não migrantes. Ademais, também foi constatado que ter no mínimo um diploma de graduação aumenta a diferença salarial dos migrantes frente aos que decidem por não migrar e entre os grupos de migrantes.
