Percepción de la seguridad en la comuna de San Joaquín

Abstract

Este artículo analiza los factores que influyen en la percepción de la seguridad existente en la comuna de San Joaquín para el período 2017-2019. La motivación principal del estudio fueron las constantes situaciones de riesgo debido a la delincuencia, tales como balaceras, y poca preocupación por parte de las autoridades tanto locales como nacionales con respecto a la población La Legua y su seguridad. Este artículo además se centra en la percepción de la seguridad en la comuna de San Joaquín, siendo un trabajo que usa principalmente la visión que tienen las personas sobre su propia seguridad en el año 2019. Esta investigación concluye entregando evidencia estadística de las principales preocupaciones de la comunidad de San Joaquín, siendo un estudio que cuestiona las actuales mediciones sobre seguridad y su eficiencia, señalando por ejemplo que se hace necesaria la intensificación de las políticas contra el tráfico de drogas en barrios de mayor complejidad.
