Abstract

El sistema agroalimentario actual se enfrenta a retos ingentes. En primer lugar, alimentar adecuadamente a una población mundial creciente. En segundo lugar, cumplir este cometido de forma medioambientalmente sostenible, es decir, sin poner en riesgo la alimentación de las generaciones futuras ni perjudicar a los ecosistemas. Y, finalmente, que retribuya de forma justa a los productores agrarios y contribuya al dinamismo del mundo rural. Todo ello en un contexto de cambio climático en el que se avista un aumento de los fenómenos meteorológicos extremos que tendrán graves repercusiones sobre la producción agrícola
