Abstract

Der Beitrag untersucht die Kommunikation von Innovationskompetenzen deutscher Unternehmen: Im Mittelpunkt der Ausfuehrungen steht die uebereinstimmung von faktischer Innovationskompetenz mit der externen Berichterstattung des Unternehmens ueber seine Innovationen und seinen Innovationserfolg. Im konzeptionellen Teil wird ein ressourcenbasiertes Mehrebenenmodell der Innovationskommunikation entwickelt. Die Adaequanz der Innovationskommunikation wird in einer empirischen Studie mit 110 Beobachtungen zu insgesamt 22 deutschen Unternehmen aus den Branchen Automobil, Chemie sowie Maschinen- und Anlagenbau fuer den Zeitraum von 2003-2007 empirisch untersucht. Es wird nachgewiesen, dass einige der untersuchten Unternehmen ihre Innovationskompetenz nicht adaequat kommunizieren. (The paper investigates corporate communication efforts of German firms regarding their innovation capabilities. The analysis focuses on the congruence between the factual innovation capabilities of the firms and their external innovation reporting. In the conceptual part we develop a multilayer model of corporate communication that draws on the resource-based view of the firm. In an empirical study (comprising 110 observations) of 22 firms from the automotive, chemical and mechanical engineering industries we study the congruence of innovation capabilities and innovation communication over the period from 2003 to 2007. It can be demonstrated, that quite a few firms do not adequately communicate their innovation capabilities.)
