Abstract

The case describes the history of the entrepreneur and professional actor, Vasco Moulian who in December of 2007, has to make a critical decision in the future of his venture M & Moulian Producciones (MMP) due to personal choices in the progress of his own career. Due to the many professional options that are available to the founder, the question is how to grow this children’s theatre company without his presence in the day-to-day operations. The case is adequate to be used at the beginning of any Entrepreneurship course, either in sections such as “Challenges of Entrepreneurship” or “Articulating Business Opportunities”. The case could also be used in courses of Competitive Strategy, as example of companies that are organized differently and creatively in relation to competitors in order to capture value. It could also be used in courses of Leadership, Innovation or Creativity.
