La economía peruana en los años 80

Abstract

El artículo presenta la evolución de la coyuntura en los años 1980-1989, período caracterizado por marcados cambios en la política económica. Se analizan las orientaciones económicas básicas de los regímenes de Belaúnde y García, así como sus consecuencias fundamentales. Se plantea las dificultades económicas experimentadas en la década se explican por tres factores centrales: el shock externo, el estancamiento del sector exportador y la inestabilidad e incoherencia de la política económica.
