Abstract

El propósito de este artículo es contar una historia que ya ha sido muy bien contada en otras circunstancias: la historia de las hiperinflaciones. La deuda que tenemos con esa literatura económica clásica (Van Walre de Bordes (1924), Keynes (1971), Bresciani-Turroni (1968); Schacht (1927), Graham (1930). Robinson (1976)) no puede contabilizarse ni en una bibliografía, ni en unas cuantas citas. También debemos mucho a la literatura maierrta sobre las hiperinflaciones (especialmente Cagan (1967 y í985), Pazos (1972), Atida y Lara-Resende (1986), Lopes (1985). Dombusch (1987), Sargent (1986), Sachs (1986), Morales (1987). Franco (1986 y 1987), Merkin (1986)), asi como a un trabajo pionero en el Perú (Schuldt (1988)).
