Indicador de confianza empresarial en el sector construcción en México a través de un sistema de inferencia difuso

Abstract

En México el Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (INEGI) publica mensualmente un indicador de confianza empresarial (ICE) en varios sectores económicos utilizando la Encuesta Mensual de Opinión Empresarial (EMOE). En este trabajo se hace referencia sólo al sector de la construcción por ser de los más sensibles para el crecimiento de la economía en México. La información oficial que emite el INEGI sobre el ICE para dicho sector es el resultado de la media aritmética simple de cinco indicadores de carácter cualitativo ya proyectados y ponderados. Al aplicar la media aritmética al final del proceso para obtener un indicador de tal importancia, da lugar al debate clásico de aplicar dicha estadística descriptiva en variables cualitativas medidas en preguntas tipo Likert. Para superar dicho problema, se propone llevar las etiquetas utilizadas en las opciones de respuesta de las preguntas utilizadas en el cuestionario EMOE, a variables lingüísticas donde, a través de la metodología de los sistemas de inferencia difuso, se obtiene como resultado un Indicador de Confianza Empresarial Difuso (ICED). Para validar el sistema propuesto, se calcularon desde enero del 2012 hasta febrero del 2021 los nuevos índices de confianza difusos y se compararon con las cifras oficiales emitidas por el INEGI, obteniendo resultados similares, con la ventaja de que los indicadores derivados por el sistema resultaron ser más altos o más bajos en general. Lo que permite este camino es ser más sensible ante cambios de opinión entre empresarios, evitando centralizar las opiniones al utilizar la media aritmética simple.
